Miao miao, a stray cat that frequent the backyard of Jade House?

We found her injured last night in a nearby drain.. Sadly, she didn't survive the evening.

Everyday since Jade House started in Mar, Miaomiao (her nickname) will hang around the backyard. Auntie Lin and Qun will be the ones who feed and play with her... When Qun is washing the plates inside, miaomiao will sit outside at the door looking at Qun. And when Auntie Lin has the time, she will sayang and talk to the cat like her very own.. When either one of us are at the back, miaomiao will come over and stroke herself against us. She's a very manja cat.. A very obedient cat.

She was discovered missing on Saturday.. She didn't come for her meals as usual. Auntie Lin and Qun were puzzled and worried. Then on Sunday evening, their worries and fears flooded their mind and they went hunting for her..

She was found.. Injured, dirty and crying in a nearby drain!

They carried her onto a chair and examined her.. She was found to be in extreme pain and we can only watch her struggle and cry.. She can't move her right hind leg. We bandaged her hind leg, shifted her to a more comfortable and familiar environment. Not sure about what exactly happened to her, all of us can only looked and comfort her helplessly, hoping that she can survive the night. The pain of having to see her cry in pain and to fight the battle for survival, is devastating..

An hour later, she left..... In pain.

Her crying stopped, eyes still wide opened and her body cold and lifeless... She died right in front of us.

Auntie Lin carried her lifeless body and chanted away:

"Miaomiao, go find your attacker. Miaomiao, go find the person who did this to you.."

There in the soil nearby, lies her battled body.

God bless you miaomiao..

And to those people who LIKES OR HAVE A HABIT OF ABUSING ANIMALS, God bless you.
Bless you with the intelligence of understanding the saying What Goes Around Comes Around;
Bless you with a clear conscious that will not haunt you your whole life for what you've done;
Bless you with a good night sleep and not just that one night;
And Bless you for whatever evil you've done to these defendless animals.

1st 23rd

Joel celebrated his 23th birthday while Peanut had her 1st swimming lesson on 20 May 2006, Sat.

We were suppose to meet Danny, Serene and Bandit at 11am, but something held Serene up.. So by the time we met up at KM8, it was almost 1.15pm..

The moment we met up with each other, Serene started talking about her unpleasant morning at work on a Saturday morning (She's on a 5 days work week, so going back on a saturday is horrendous for anyone who work a 5 days week) and her encounter with this particular cab driver.. Guess she woke up from the wrong side of her bed. Who doesn't?

Anyway.. Serene brought Bandit for a swim while me, Joel, Danny and Peanut was chilling at our sun decks.

Peanut chilling with me under the shades of KM8.. She's curious about everything on the beach; the food, the strangers around, the chillout music, the waves, other dog's urine (ewww..), 1st encounter with male counterparts (Bandit lo, who else?) and the ability to swim..

Not long after, Serene came back with Bandit fuming...!

Serene: "CB.. The Life Guard say i have to leash Bandit up, cannot let him run unleash! What the f**k?! Where got such thing? It's a beach.."

She demanded a black and white from the Life Guard (Pity him.. Just his luck that Serene started her day wrong). 20mins later, the Head Life Guard approached Serene and showed her a letter from AVA about the ruling.. Oh well.. AVA's letterhead lei, what can we miserable citizens do? Live with it lo!

Being Serene and not wanting Bandit to be leashed, she brought Bandit further down the beach where there are less disturbance from this law ruling world.

After much pestering from me, Joel brought Peanut down for a swim.. Before Joel brought her down, i did bring Peanut for a swim earlier but because my menses coming, i don't feel good staying too long in the waters. Therefore, Joel had the honour of being the swimming coach for the day.

Peanut scrambling for Joel's comforting hugs.. She will be a pro swimmer real soon!

We didn't stay for too long due we're needed back at Jade House. We left Sentosa at 4pm. Sorry Danny and Serene, couldn't give you guys a lift..

Same evening, Joel invited some of his friends for dinner..

This night lasted very late.. After we're closed for the night, we went home bathed and went to meet the guys for a night of gaming, CS and Frozen Throne!

And me? Slept the whole Sunday away.. :p

Didn't do much over the long weekend.. No MJ, no clubbing, only spending.. Yes, AM A SPENDTHRIFT!! Believe me, read on.

Went marketing with Joel for Jade House. My very 1st visit to Sheng Siong Supermart.. Super-not-supermarket-market lo.. Looks more like a wet market with a tinge of super old-school convenience store! Dropped by Jade House with the purchases. Went Boon Lay Shopping Centre for some Pet Shop anniversary sale.. Me bought Peanut's kibbles (Timberwolf) at 30% off, odour-cum-ticks-and-fleas repellent spray 20% off, supplement Dermatrix at 30% off, toothpaste and bowl at 20% off.. Besides the purchase, there were goodie bag and lucky draw.. My damage here? $200+... But it was a good shopping experience.

GROOMING and HANDPHONE SHOPPING DAY! Sent Peanut for grooming..

Introducing....My Little Salt & Pepa Pony, Peanut! The only dog in the house which gallops like a horse and hops like a bunny on the bed.. In fact, she's a Jack Russell in a Mini Schnauzer!

Awww.... My baby.. She's pee whenever Joel's back from work.. Her welcome home gift for Joel!

After grooming, it's handphone shopping time! Me, Joel and my mom marched to Tampines for a crazy day.. It was really crazy.. Me, one shot bought 3 new phones! Nokia 6280 for me, Samsung D820 for Joel and my mom.. That's 3 phones!! Yes, i'm siao.. Actually.... I'm not.. I'm buying a gift for my mom and a birthday present for Joel wad. What so siao about that?

With a new line and 2 upgrades, me spent a total of $102,123.54!!

Nah.... *giggles* Me spent $1020.97 but..... We sold our old phones to a private dealer and we got back $490. So.... In the end, Me spent $530.97.. Not too bad what.. 3 new phones and a no which i can't resist.. It's 9AABBCDD! Nice right? It's just a normal no for sale at Starhub...

Anyway, the handphone shopping ended at 8pm.. Me and Joel were so late for work..! But luckily, Jade House can still manage..
