Swimming that worn us humans out!

Managed to upload these picture i took last Saturday at Sentosa. We brought the rascals and monkeys to swim again... It was fun as usual... Have fun!

Serene Lim: "Mi.. I bought a new huskey... hehehe.. A male puppy!"

Me: "Huh?! Again..."

Me and Joel went to her place to see this new puppy of hers. And he's a darling..... PANDA!!

Joel carrying Bandit.. He's a black-and-white huskey like Roche. His forehead features may not be as nice as Roche's but he has a very cute face because he looks like PANDA!!

Bandit in his cage which used to contain Roche when she's was first brought home.. He's a sturdy young boy!

Shadow played with him but because Shadow's a bigger dog than Bandit, she was quite agressive with him. In the end, Shadow kena alot of beatings from Serene.

With this new addition to the LIM family, i'm actually quite worried for Serene and her 3 monkeys! The fact that:
1) She doesn't have space for them to run around.
2) She doesn't bring them for their daily walks (maybe that's why Roche is still small size even though she's a big bone huskey).
3) They live, shit, urine and sleep with her in her room.

But as long as they're happy and healthy, who cares! Besides, she has been bringing them to Sentosa weekly for a swim.

This Saturday, Serene will bring the 3 Huskies to Sentosa for their usual swimming session. Me and Joel will also be bringing the 3 rascals there for a swim too.. This time round, Jane, Jiron, Mavis and Serene Foo might be going too! It will be fun! ^-^

Swimming with the 3 rascals and 2 monkeys

Date: Saturday (13/08) 2pm, Sentosa's Tanjong Beach's KM8.

Occasion: Swimming Lesson. 2nd for Snowie and Furbie. 1st for Nikkie.
Snowie and Furbie went swimming before but it didn't turn out as well as expected. So from that day onwards, none of us brought them for a swim as we didn't want Snowie and Furbie to be traumatized.. As for Nikkie, it's her 1st try.

Companions: Serene, Marcus & his cousins, Shadow and Roche.
You see.. Serene doesn't walk the both of them very often. One fine Sunday afternoon, she and Marcus brought the 2 'monkeys' to Sentosa for an outing. And she was amazed by the visit.. Roche's 1st swimming session turned out well.. Roche swam and she enjoying every moment of it! Basically, Roche has a talent and a love for swimming.. And that has become their weekly event. Yes, weekly as in swimming at Sentosa every weekend.

Verdict: It was funny but the 3 rascals loved it!
In the beginning, when me and Joel 1st threw the 3 rascals in for a swim, they didn't like it.. They panicked and struggled their way back to shore for safety. We were disappointed.. But having Serene and Marcus around, they threw them in again for the 2nd time. Still, they panicked and swam back shore.

Just as me and Joel were giving up, we saw a figure swimming towards us.. It's Furbie!!! She swam towards us! Me and Joel were jumping for joy! We can see her small head above the waters, 4 legs paddling and her thick fur floating gracefully in the direction she's swimming!

Overwhelmed, we called for Snowie.. She too swam towards us! Her white body bobbing up and down.. It's too good to be true..!

Now.. At this moment, Furbie finished her round and was heading back for the shore. With our morale boost, we were determined to get Nikkie in the waters.

Me and Joel: "Nikkie.. Come here.... Nikkkkkieeeeee..."

Furbie responded instead.. She walked in the waters and just as she started paddling, Nikkie ran and jumped into the waters with a big splash! She swam.....

All the 3 rascals are swimming!!

They didn't stop after that..They swam and swam, taking consistent breaks on shore. It had been wonderful!

Hungry and thirsty, we left Serene and Marcus hoping for some snacks and drinks at KM8. Boy, were we disappointed.. We sat at their tables looking and searching for help, no one was 'free'. We waited and we spotted one waiter walking towards us. Joel called out to him. He pretended that he never saw us and walked to this other 2 girls who were sunbathing at their sunbeds! After taking their orders, he walked away.. WTF?!!

Well, they're not getting away with it.. I'm going to complain! Their fuckup attitude just turned me off.. Are we not your customers too? Why do you have to pretend you didn't see us? If you're only keen at serving babes only, please go fuck the wall!!!

Anyway, we left KM8. We didn't want to spend our money there knowing the service we'll get, SUCKS! Like i mentioned, they will not get away from it..

As for Snowie, Furbie and Nikkie, they slept all the way back home! :)

Bronchitis..

Me came down with a fever last Thursday (04/08).. Again.

"What the hell is wrong with me?!", i said to myself. Took a panadol and slept the night away.

Friday (05/08) morning.. Fever, blocked left nose, sore throat.. Darn! Went to see doctor, took my medication and slept the day away..

Saturday (06/08).. Pain... Pain... I'm experiencing chest pain.. Thinking it was just the medication, me slept my weekend afternoon away without any lunch, hoping i can go Zouk later in the evening. Packed my stuffs and went to Joel's place. By the time i reached Joel's place, me was shagged, giddy.. Took my medicine and slept my weekend away! *Arrggghhhh*

Sunday (07/08)... More Pain.. Pain... Pain everywhere! My chest, my ribs area... Me and Joel went Parkway Parade and happen to chance upon Chonglip at Courts working there for just a day.

Monday (08/08)... Unbearable PAIN!! Went to work with complaints about the chest pain.. And my blocked left nose has become runny nose. Full blockage! Sore throat producing phelgmy cough! Wa... Best way to start the holidays!

Joel: "Dear, we will go to the hospital to see doctor about your chest pain.."

Me: "Huh?!! No la.. So expensive. Go to a clinic will do.."

Went to see the doctor i frequented when i was staying at Siglap. It had been 5 long years since i last stepped in. The atmosphere of the clinic is still the same. Same staffs, same decor, same doctor on duty..

Dr Pang: "Hi... Wow, it has been 5 years since you visited me.." (Looking at the medical profile)

Me: "Yes.. Me shifted to Woodlands.." (Answering with a smile and a very bad phlegmy cough)

Dr Pang: "That sound really bad.. What's wrong?"

Me: "Had a fever on last Thurday, went to see doctor on Friday, Chest pain on Saturday, more chest pain on Sunday and today..."

Dr Pang: "Chest pain? Where?"

Me: "Here, here, here and here... Is it the medicine i took?"

Dr Pang conducted a very caution examination. In the room, you can only hear my breathing.. Inhale, exhale... Inhale, exhale...

Dr Pang: "Well, Jaime.. You're still having fever and you have bronchitis.. And I hear some very disturbing noise at your lungs.. It could be Pneumonia.. I need to put you on medication and i need you to come back on Wednesday (10/08) for a review.. To see whether is there a need to go for X-Ray for your chest."

Me: "Huh?!!!!!!!!! Huh?!"

Bronchitis?!!! How did i get it?! Pneumonia?! But i feel okay.. I don't feel like i'm having fever even though Dr Pang tested my temperature on both ears and it showed 37.9C and 38.1C..

And i was sent home to rest with strict orders from Dr Pang.

Darn it! No lime juice, orange juice, milk, diary products, cold drinks and chocolate!

I rested as much as i can, slept as much as i can, drank as much water as i can, watched as much TV as i can. In another word, i'm always on Joel's bed.

Wednesday (10/08) morning, i went to see Dr Pang.. I feel much better.. I no longer have chest pain, my cough is not that violent, my nose is not that runny anymore.

Dr Pang once again examined me very carefully. The room once again can only hear my breathing... Inhale, exhale..

Dr Pang: "Very good, Jaime. I don't hear anymore disturbing noise coming from your lungs. You have a clean bill of health.."

Me: "Really?!" (Chocolate and alot of my favourite goodies were in my mind at that point of time)

Dr Pang: "Although you recovered, bronchities will need some time to fully recover. So.. I will increase your dose of antibiotics to 2 more days and gradually, your phlegm will go away after a few more dose of cough medicine.. And eat payaya to clear your phlegm."

PAYAYA?!! Good for clearing phlegm.. Hmmmm... Learn something new!

Darn it.. No chocolate for me!

Desperate..

For MONEY$$$$$!!

Don't look at me like i'm some sort of criminal.. I'm just desperate.. Mind you, i no longer earn as much as i used to when i'm with Citibank.. I need to keep up my commitments and expenses too. And this is a good opportunity for me to take some extra cash home for my efforts! And it's not every month that i can do this..

A call from my friend today reminds me that i can work part-time for cold hard cash.. *Jackpot! Tng! Tng! Tng*

Evon: "Ah Me? You want to work for Natas Fair in September?"

Me: "Huh?! For which agent?"

Evon: "Eastern Holidays.. Payout $100 a day. No commission though.."

Me: "Hmmm... Don't know lei.. You working?"

Evon: "If my leave approved, i will be.. "

Me: "Hmmm.. Let me know again when your leave is approved.. Will think about it. Thanks!"

Why didn't i think of that?!!

NATAS Fair... And upcoming Comex (IT) Show too... *Tng! Tng! Tng!*

I actually forget that i used to 'pia' sales like no body business! It's all the way from 10am to 10pm for those travel agents whose payout is so good that its irresistible!!!!

How irresistible?!

Usually, most of the agents will offer us $80-$100 a day for a period of 3days fair. But...! There are some agents who not only offer us $100 per day, commission will be additional!! I can still remember this travel agent Ambassador Travel, where my ex-Product Manager from Kenair, Meiling offered me, Evon and Karine a part-time job during NATAS. The 3 of us 'pia' like siao and we were rewarded handsomely! With commission, we took home about $600 each..

Working at such shows whether is it Travel or IT, it's all about money, rewards!

And i questioned myself.. Why am i back in this shit?!

And you know why?

I'm back because i need to redeem my V3 camera back from repairs before i go for Phuket and Bangkok.. That's why! *haiz*

Madness!

It has been a hectic weekend..

On Thursday (28/07), Serene went KL for business trip with her lady boss leaving her 2 'monkeys' at a boarding house in Yishun on Wednesday (27/07) evening. Me and Joel couldn't help but worry for the 'monkeys'.. But overall on Thursday, it was quite peaceful. -.-

On Friday (29/07), Jane and Jiron went to Hongkong with Jane's parents.. Suppose to join them in Hongkong but after much consideration, i changed my mind.. No point going there now for Summer Sale when Disneyland's not open yet. Been to Hongkong too many times and even if i want to visit Hongkong again, it will be solely for Disneyland.. So posponed the visit to Jan/Feb 2006. See how it goes first.. Besides, i'm going to Phuket and Bangkok in September.. Don't know have enough $$$ to spend in Hongkong anot..

The major event for the next 3 days (Fri, Sat & Sun) will be Joel and family moving in their new home along Upper East Coast. Gavin, Auntie and Elisa collected the keys and were at the new place cleaning up. Me and Joel? Jaga office lor..

Their new place is within walking distance to the Bedok Corner Hawker Centre opposite Bedok Camp. The terrace house's drive-way houses their 2 cars and 1 van with more room for 1-2 cars, dry and wet kitchen, a fence-up small garden, Living Room big enough for a Pool table and sofa set, and a Dining Area big enough for a round table for 8. Auntie has the smallest room but the nicest toilet, Gavin has the biggest room with hotel-like toilet, Elisa has the 2nd biggest room, Joel? 2nd smallest room but big enough for a queen bed and a small chillout area. :)

This is a glimpse of Joel's room... Not ready yet. After the divider is the small chillout area.. Furbie is chilling in the room.

On our way down to Upper East Coast, Serene sms me. She will be back on Friday (29/07) instead.. But she will only be able to pick the 'monkeys' up on Saturday (30/07) morning. So we offered to pick the dogs up..

When we arrived at the boarding house, they were closing. So we asked for the 2 'monkeys' and boy were Shadow and Roche excited! They jumped and pounced on us upon coming out to meet us! It's not a joking matter to let a big dog pounced on you especially dogs that are big..

Excited to see the dogs, me and Joel sayang them and tried our best to 'check' on their condition. It's not easy.. *haiz* Imagine.. They jumping and running around and you gotta spot whether is there any injury on them is like, finding a needle in the ocean.. In the van, i spotted something unusual on Roche.. OH MY GOODNESS!! She had a wound on her forehead.. Without hesitation, me called Serene.. And we brought her back to the boarding house.

Me: "Derrick, how did this happen to Roche?" (Show the wound to him in his face..)

Derrick: "Where? (Checking on the wound..) It could be skin allergy or they try to escape and injure themself.."

Me: "Huh?!! Nevermind, Serene's on the line, can you talk to her..?"

I don't know what's their conversation like but i'm very sure Serene's not pleased about it..

We brought them to Joel's new place and they enjoyed the space there! They ran here and there, exploring the space out.. Too bad the 3 rascals weren't there, if not we can check on how their reaction to each other will be..

Joel, Roche and Shadow.. Surprisingly, his family like Shadow more because she's more responsive and she 'sings' along very well too!

Serene was shocked to see the wound on Roche's forehead! And there were also some rashes on Shadow's belly.. Basically Serene will not send the 2 'monkeys' there anymore for boarding services. She's very disappointed.. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Poor Roche and Shadow.. Can you imagine what will happen if they stay one more night there?!

On Saturday (30/07), me and Joel went back to help due it's shifting day.. We filled the van with 20-30 garbage bags full of clothes..! So full that we cant see the rear view mirror! :p

Everyone was busy! So busy that we totally forget about dinner. Another night of no clubbing for me.. *haiz*

On Sunday (31/07), it's another packing day.. We went lunch and met up with Elisa at IKEA to top up whatever is required. And i met Anne there! Yes, the very pregnant Anne due in January 2006.. She cut her hair short and her tummy look big...! :p She didn't put on much weight. But it feels good seeing her happy and radiant! You go girl..! God bless you and your child!

There are still alot of things not pack yet, like the Living Room, Dining Area and Lan-Gaming Area. But all the rooms are up and have a concept of its own..

It has been a long and tiring week for all of them.. It's nice to stay together under one roof as a family and of course there will be debates, disagreement and quarrels but most importantly, they all have the same blood that bind them together making them an invincible team!!
