Kids nowadays..

Went to Jurong Entertainment yesterday. For the very 1st time in my 28 years of life, it's my 1st visit there. Yes, my 1st time.. I don't frequent the West because i grow up in the East. I lived and studied in the East. Anyway, my visit there was quite an eye opener..

I was there at Pets R Us to do some shopping with Joel and Shireen. As i was taking a smoke, i saw 2 kids about 10-11 years old, on the ground. They were like 'locking' each other up; like you know, wrestling.. To me, it's quite intriguing to see them play or so call 'sparring' in the public where the human traffic is heavy.

And when the 'sparring' doesn't stop and when the faces of the kids grew angry,i realized that it's no child's play, they're fighting! Both kids in t-shirts and berms are clawing each other, one on the ground and the other pining him down. A 'Giant' and a 'Mouse'.

2 students went to pull them apart. The 'Giant' gave a 'winning' look at the 'Mouse' and called him Idiot. The 'Mouse' who's a head shorter, skinnier and smaller size than the 'Giant' gave a very defeated-yet-not-happy look. They started to push each other again..

Seeing that the fight's not going anywhere, Joel went to separate them. And i asked the 'Mouse' to go home while Joel made sure that the 'Giant' don't find any more trouble. The 'Mouse' looked so defeated, dirty and worn out but he looks like he can still go on with the fight.

Kids... Haiz!

After which, we went KFC for some finger licking chicken. Same thing again, in KFC, i saw another problem child.

What's up man?! What's up with the kids? Aiyo..

The teenager looks like Chinese, as in China Chinese. She was there sitting staring in the blank with her parents talking in front of her. She looked.. Weird, like she kena raped or molested. Her hair was messy, she was wearing a loose t-shirt and shorts with slippers. In front of her on the table, were some papers torn up. Her parents' body language tells me that they were trying to talk sense to her. She just sat there and stoned, no reaction whatsoever.

After a while, her mom left in a huff. Then her dad. When we left, the girl's still sitting at the same spot with the torn up papers and $20 on the table. She was busy sms on her phone, ignoring the $20 on the table. I don't know what happen to the girl but i hope she's not taken advantage of. Grow up girl, you're hurting your parents.

Frankly speaking, who doesn't do silly things while growing up? I admit. I did some silly things while growing up but it made me a smarter girl. I've been through rebellious times and i regret not paying more attention to my studies. If not, i will and maybe be a professional, like Auditor or Certified Accountant or Sales Manager. But then again, if i study well, i won't meet and know Joel.

How contradicting! :p

A month old

It was Little Chloe's one month party at Serene and Chongli's flat. She's dressed in pink striped top and super long pants that her little feet can hardly fit. We were marvelling at her looks (after all, she's our 1st Little Princess) when suddenly, a big cry..

Princess is hungry la.

Little Chloe having her milk.. She made a big fuss before sucking her bottle away.. Our Little Princess.

Burping. Burping. Burping.

Serene: "Hello Little Chloe, I'm Auntie Serene, your Big Auntie. When you grow older, we'll bring you clubbing, ok?"
Little Chloe: " Who's this? Why she look so... Why am i stoning...?"

Serene: "Our Little Princess...."
Little Chloe: "I'm still stoning.......... hur hur.."
