Sepang for Japan GT

Left Singapore for Kuala Lumpur again on 25 June 2005 (Sat). Purpose?

Japan GT on 26 June 2005 (Sun) at Sepang!!

It was Sam (Joel and Gavin's cousin) and 'Juice' aka as Mr Tan Eng Joo's first trip to KL, i think.. They're here in KL for the JGTC and to know KL better!

By the time we arrived, it was almost 1pm. We booked 2 units 2bedroom Grand Deluxe at The Ascott and when we check-in, we weren't disappointed! The service apartment offered a king-size bedroom with attached toilet(Me and Joel took this room), 2 single bedroom with another toilet, Living Room, Dining Area with a big dining table and a full 'Kitchen'! Wowww... And for that, a mere RM480++ per unit, payment with Citibank card!

This trip, we gave Overseas Restaurant a miss.. Instead we ate at the '(in)famous' Bah Kut Teh at Jalan Imbi.. Didn't enjoy the dinner due we waited long for the food actually me don't like the food there and the bill! After dinner, we went SHOPPING!! (~^) FOS and Ripcurl...!

Check Out my new boardshort from Hurley!

The 350Z was scheduled for the JGTC parade and Joel and Gavin had been informed of the meeting place and Joel's confused whether he should go for the parade due the 350Z was not allowed to leave the Sepang Circuit until the whole event ends..

Joel: "Should i go? If i go, our 350Z will be on tv and in the parade.."

Me: "You sure you want to go? You gotta meet up the convoy at 8am.."
(I'm more worried for Joel due he drove up to KL and hasn't had enough sleep..)

Sam: "Go Joe. I will go with you. I will wake you up.."

Joel: "Ok.. The most my brother can drive the 350Z back if i'm tired.."

And they sat in front of the TV and start gaming GT4 (Sam brought along his super slim PS2).

Ringggg! Ringggg!

Gavin: "Jaime, it's 10am. Want to go for breakfast? Where's Joel? He's still sleeping?"

Me: (Me turned around) "Yes, he's still sleeping.."

Gavin: "Ok, see you guys downstairs."

Well.. We had breakfast, slacked for a while before we checked out Ascott for Sepang. It was 2pm when we arrived and the event had already gathered a crowd. Me and Sam wanted to buy some NISMO merchandise but there weren't anything left to buy... At least we got the NISSAN-NISMO flag! Me and Sam grabbed the flags when they were distributing, we just happened to be at the right place at the right time! CHEAPSKATES :p But still, the presence of the GTs were a great comfort! Check these cars out!

Calsonic Nissan

Skyline GTR

Xanavi 350Z, JGTC Malaysia GT500 champion.

How can JGTC do without Race Queen?!!!! Here's two for the comfort of your eyes only..

Malaysia's Race Queen

Japan's genuine Race Queen

And there were the race! 42 cars in GT300 and GT500.. It was fucking freaking noisy! Initiately, we find the cars exhausts 'sound' pleasant.. But when you have 42 super turbo cars in the Circuit, it's deafening!! We had to stuff tissue into our ears to hold the noise pollution caused by the cars. It was exciting! We were at 'turn 15', the bend before hitting the straight to Start/Finish line. There were alot of spinouts and crashes. Too bad i don't have any proper video clips to show you guys.. But i will see what i can do.. Maybe Juice's video can be used..

Top: Race Queens in position for lineup. Center: Cars leaving their pits for lineup. Bottom: Cars on track for line up.

Top: More cars lining up. Center: The car, the driver, the technology and the BABES! Bottom: Race Queens, Crews, Media and Fans getting onto the track.

Left: Begin to fight for top 3 position. Bottom: Leading car NSX until Xanavi 350Z tookover and won the race!Right: Spinout!

We went off before the race ended (that was approx. 6pm), don't wanna be stuck in the traffic later.. Estimated cars in the lousy and unorganised parking lots? 5000 and more! Scrammm!! Vroooommm!!

We reached Singapore at about... 11.30pm. Traffic at both immigrations were very good.. Pratically, no cars!

Overall, it was an exciting and fun KL trip we've been. And the Joker award goes to JUICE!!! :)

Long Live Air Supply!!

Date: 23 June 2005
Occasion: Air Supply "30 Years Today" Live in Concert 2005
Location: Indoor Stadium

'You.. Would never asked me why.. My heart is so disguised.. I just can't live a lie anymore.. I would rather hurt myself than to ever make you cry.. There's nothing left to try..Though its gonna hurt us both.. There's no other way than to say Goodbye..'

'I'm all out of Love.. I'm so lost without you.. I know you were right believing for so long.. I'm all out of Love.. What am i without you.. I cant be too late to say that i was so wrong...'

'But I don’t know how to leave you.. And I’ll never let you fall.. And I don’t know how you do it.. Making love out of nothing at all (making love).. Out of nothing at all (making love).. Out of nothing at all (making love).. Out of nothing at all (making love).. Out of nothing at all (making love).. Out of nothing at all (making love)... Out of nothing at all...'

Me and Joel: "Wooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!"
(At this point we were like giving shouts and screams everytime they finished a song.)

It was a good performance!

Although Russell and Graham have aged, they're still... The legendary AIR SUPPLY!!

Halfway through the concert, they came down and mingle with the audiences! And yes, people were running to them for a handshake but overall, the situation is still very in order...! There were alot of standing ovations during the whole concert.

But we left early before the concert end to avoid the crazy traffic. *Hmmmpf*

And my prize possession yesterday? Their 2CD Greatest Hits album (36 hit songs) for $20!! :)

Initial D Preview

Date: 22 June 2005
Time: 9.15pm
Theatre: Prince 1, Beach's Road Shaw Tower

Me and Joel reached Shaw Tower at 8.15pm. Went for a rush dinner and when we went up to queue, we had a shock! Please see illustration below..

The above was illustrated by Me.. Looks funny huh? Aiya, don't expect too much from me la.. Me not an artistic girl lei..

And exactly by 9.15pm, the doors were open for admission.. Well.. Being Singaporeans, what can you expect?

CUT QUEUE laa....!

Please see illustration below..

This is how Singaporeans cut queue.. Act blur and just walk into the short-cut!

I really pity those who were right in front of those who cut the queue.. They were left abandoned.. In the end, they end up last in queue.. I can't imagine how the Gala Premiere will be when a Preview here is already almost out of control!

Back to the topic..

MUST WATCH INITIAL D!!!

Why? Because Jay Chou? Shawn Yue? Edison Chan? Jordan Chan? Anthony Wong? Ah Bee? No...... Because of CHAPMAN TO!!! He's the funny bastard in this movie... He's the 'World Champion' aka Itsuki Tachibana, son of Ah Bee (Yuuichi Tachibana) and a good friend of Jay Chou (Takumi Fujiwara)..

Being his first movie, Jay Chou is still Jay Chou.. He's cool, so darn cool that sometimes i don't know how he can be so. But one thing for sure! He can't cry for nuts! Hahahaha...

Anyway, me and Joel enjoyed the show.. It was funny and exciting..! And do you know?

After the movie, everyone came out feeling like Takumi Fujiwara!! Drrriiffffffffffffffffffftttttttttttttt....

You know you're shag again when:

You're awaken by an urgent morning call at 5.45am this morning! *shaking head profusely*

Yes.. Again.. Me and Joel woke up this morning 5.45am to pick up an urgent call.. We were in deep sleep when his Nokia rang.. *haizzz*

Actually, we were on the road of recuperation from the 1st sleepless night, but when this unexpected 2nd sleepless night happen *yawnnn*, we're back to square one.. *arghhhh*

Anyway, no matter how tired i am today, i have to keep myself awake till end of the day. Because me and Joel are watching......

INITIAL D!!

Me sms some contest in 8Days and won a pair of free preview tixs along with a 'Initial D' Notebook.. Cool! But it's free seating.. Guess i have to be on my 'kiasu' gear later at the theatre.. :p

Actually again, me and Joel have loads of programs on hand.. Tonight, we're watching Intial D, right? Tomorrow night? Air Supply.. Then Sat to KL and Sun? Sepang for GT3 race.. Full itinerary and an empty pocket by the end of this week! :(

God blessed me and Joel abundantly! :)

You know you're shag when:

1) You helped a friend pack and move back home within very short notice.
Something bad happen
.. Imagine... I'm having dinner with Joel and friends. My phone rang. Me picked up with a cheery voice... But, the other side was screaming her lungs out. My heart droppped.. I was confused as i don't know how to respond. I stoned for a while..

Worried, i went off immediately afer finishing my food, to help a friend who's in need.. Not knowing what to expect, i was tense throughout the journey there.

Things were bad. Alot of stuffs lying here and there. Load and loads of clothes were thrown away. There were bags and bags of stuffs to be moved...

The 'swat team' came and cleared the room emptied in less than 3 mins! What left behind was a year of happy and sad memories..

The 'defendant' was disappointed, angry but still, she held on to a brave front. After everyone left for home, she's all alone. Memories kept flashing back, happy, sad and upsetting..

Tear became tears..

Cry all you want NOW and NEVER to shed another tear for this man who broke your heart..
Cry all you want NOW and NEVER to shed another tear for this man who broke your trust..
Cry all you want NOW and NEVER to shed another tear for this man who is insensible towards your feelings and thoughts..
Cry all you want NOW and NEVER to shed another tear for this man because you know that you're loved by others who will want to appreciate you.

2) You took care of a coughing-and-puking phlegm puppy throughout the whole night.
It has been a tiring night and your puppy is down with a bad cough.. Every 15-30mins, she will be coughing and she will puke her phlegm out. Throughout the 6 hours of my most precious moments of the day, me was there to clean her phlegm and ensuring she doesn't swallow eat it back everytime she cough in her sleep..

9am.. Me and Joel was shag with all her coughing and phlegm puking..

3) You're 'Clearing shit' for an irresponsible staff who went MIA since Saturday.
After a very tiring night, me and Joel were hit by more impacts in the office!

Like the movie, Armageddon, we will be facing alot of meteors crushing onto 'Earth'. Before we're being hit, we've sent a team to rectify the situation. Destruction was quickly reduced to its minimal.. 'Earth' saved from further destruction!!

And all happened within 24 hours!

Tioman Island... Green waters

Me, Joel, Serene and Marcus left Singapore for Tioman Island in a 44 seaters coach at 6.30am in the morning!! *yawnnnn* Departing early is ok, but by the time we reached the Tamjung Gumuk Ferry Terminal, it was almost 11.30am! That's 5 'long' hours including 1 toilet stop! I don't know but it's a journey too far for somewhere so near...

Anyway, we board the ferry at approx. 12noon. Ferry was full, so we were sent in front to occupy the Crew seats.. Ferry was ok but with the thumping of the ferry against the waves, there were some MERLIONS on board! Lucky for me, i was sleeping so i didn't hear any unpleasant puking... *whewww*

The 4 of us in the ferry...

The journey to Berjaya's pier, Tekek, was crazy!! By the time, we reached, it was about 3pm..

"What?! 3 hours ferry to Tioman? How can that be?!"

Because the ferry had to drop others off!! Tekek Pier (Berjaya's drop off pier) was the last one on the list... *haiz*

3.30pm. Arriving in Berjaya, we walked towards the Front Desk for check-in. Hungry and tired, we collected the keys, book our full day tour and went to their Coffee House for our lunch.. After lunch, we went back to our rooms, change and we were off to the beach for some activities.

"I want to feed fish... gagaga.. Daddy, quick!"

That was Serene, all excited about feeding the fishes. Berjaya's a beachfront resort so you can see alot of sunbeds along the beach.

Marcus: (while putting on his sunscreen) "Mommy, put your sunscreen first.."

Serene: "No need, i want to go feed fish! gagaga.."

She took off her shirt, took a bread and walked off... Marcus follow shortly. Me took my own sweet time to put the sunscreen on and joined them shortly for some fun. Joel? He was slacking before joining me for a soaking session...

Marcus: "Mommy, push my head down. I keep floating up..."

And so Serene and me pushed his head down for a picture..

Nice shot. Too bad the waters ain't that clear..

When we first made our way in to Berjaya when we first arrived, me and Joel noticed some jetskis along the beach. We decided to check out their rates as Joel has been dying for some jetski action..

Joel: "How much?"

Jetski Staff: "RM100.."

Joel: "Huh? RM$100?! How long?"

Jetski Staff: "30mins"

Joel turned around and gave me a grin.. The kind that he's delighted and at the same time confused.

Joel: "Dear, how? I don't want to ride so long.."

Me: "Asked for 15mins at RM$50 la.."

Joel: (Smiling) "Ok!"

A deal was cut and we started wearing the lifejackets.. Then we noticed Marcus and Serene walking towards our directions.

Joel: (Shouting) "Marcus, RM$50 for 15mins ride.. Come!"

And so there were 2..

Marcus and Joel getting ready for some speeeeeeeed!

Me and Joel went out first because Marcus's jetski need to warm up.. Joel rode before but that was a long time ago.. We were cruising and enjoying ourselves when suddenly he released the gear and we fell in!! As we struggle to get on board again, Serene and Marcus was coming out for some action.. After a while, me and Joel managed to get up but we fell into the waters again! And out of no where, Serene and Marcus also fell into the waters! Hahahaha...

After 2 falls and a knock on my shins, i wanted to go back.. After 3 falls and a knock on her ankle, Serene also decided to go back. Without a pillion, the control of the jetski is so much easier to handle. While soaking and waiting for Joel and Marcus, me and Serene could see Joel zipping here and there in the fastest speed he can go.. But where's Marcus?! He's stuck out there with his 'lousy' jetski and had to be tow back! Hahaha... Joel's 15mins up and Marcus was given Joel's jetski in exchange for the lousy one.. Marcus was slow initiately but when he's used to the momentum, he too goes all the way but, with some reserves...

The next day, we hopped onto our small speedboat for our full day island tour... We were brought around by this father and son team.. The boy was about 8-9years old helping out his dad and his dad called him "Baby".. So 'Baby' was his nick! By the time, we finished the Marine Park, Renggis Island, Juara, Coral Island, etc, it was 5pm.

Our small speedboat.. Can you see? Nice shot huh?

Waterfall pier... It took us 10-15mins to walk to the waterfall... Worst? All the way uphill!!!

Joel, 'Baby' and Marcus at the waterfall

Me and Joel

We took this at the Marine Park's platform.. Waters here is deep and a very 'clean' Marine Park..

Nice waters but not very clear though...

Berjaya Tioman is a very commercialise holiday resort.. Compare with Laguna Redang, Berjaya is slightly more expensive in terms of food, drinks and gifts. A can of drink cost RM$3 in Berjaya whereas Redang, a can will only cost us RM$2. Me and Joel spent almost RM$300 on our meals alone at Berjaya, excluding breakfast, titbits and drinks!

Overall, Tioman... A highly recommended place for fishing. Scuba diving and snorkelling are recommended but be careful of sea urchins! Try to rough-it-out at their local longhouse instead as Berjaya is too commercialise for an adventure!

We enjoyed ourselves there but we don't see ourselves going there again in the near future. :)

Redang's snorkelling pictures

F I N A L L Y!!!

After waiting for 2 long weeks, my Redang's 'snorkelling' CDs are ready! Me sent the negatives in, for the Photo Shop to copy it to a CD..

You see, we bought 2 of Kodak's 'Water & Sports' one-time use camera for our snorkelling activities in Redang. The last time Me and Joel were in Krabi and (the beautiful) Phi Phi for snorkelling, we didn't buy a single 'water' camera thinking it was a waste of $$$... Well, we were wrong! It's worth every $$$ you spent on it! Trust me!

Me and Joel taking a dip at Rotan Bay, Redang.

Joel diving to touch the "sea mimosa"..

Feeding the fishes...... Here fishyyy..

The Guide tempting the moral eel out of its hiding..

SHARK ALERT!!! Can you see the SHARK?!! Chay..... It's only a baby.. And it won't bite!

Although the coach journey was long, Me and Joel enjoyed the snorkelling very much!

So does Suz who doesn't swim very well and is scared of water too.. She's braved the waters and has no regret about it!

Anyway, you can visit HERE for more pictures.

Pictures i took with my handphone..

Furbie giving Joel a 'good-morning' wake up call..

Don't they look compatible?? Joel loves to hug Furbie in the morning..

Jennat and Me were fascinated about this 'baby' at Fur Kids.. We couldn't resist a hug for the 'baby'!

Shadow is the big one and Roche is the 'baby'... Roche was said to be born with good poise. Serene going to groom her into a 'Champion Breed' Show Dog!

Me and Joel were watching TV when suddenly Nikie was walked to the bed and started her C-U-T-E 'bedtimes prayers'!

Joel's new NIKE shoes with compliments from Jennat... Artist impression editions..

Birthday Girl, Serene and Birthday Boy, Joel, both received a 'sur-rpriseee' party on their very happy day!

Furbie hitching a ride from Joel...

Furbie: "Good night... Thanks for visiting this blog..." *snoring away if complete silence in the room*

My very 1st time

Wakeboarding..

Actually, me was just a spectator. :p

Went wakeboarding with Joel, Gavin and Jennat yesterday evening at Punggol's Marina.

Didn't want to go initiately due i'm tired and was having a mild headache. But because i have never see Joel wakeboard before and that my presence will be an encouragement to him, i went ahead with them.

Me and Joel checking out some wake boarders...

Wake boarder BABE getting ready for her run.

I never wakeboard before due Singapore waters turn me off.. The dark murky green waters was never a temptation for me. My imaginative brain sends me signals that there will be something horrifying lurking underneath... Same goes for Sentosa and East Coast's waters.. Yuckyyyy!

Anyway, yesterday it was an eye opening experience.. We went boarding with Amos Boon and Melvin Wong, 2 of many PROs from Launch 2002!!

On a personal note, Gavin has been hanging out with them. And if Amos Boon sounds familiar to you, you might have seen him on Channel News Asia's 'Audition Me'... But i'm not sure whether is he in the finals.. Anyway, Good Luck with the contest!

Joel was scheduled to go boarding first. He went and fell, but with instructions given from the PROs, his fall wasn't that bad.. And there was an improvement on his posture. Good Try!

Joel

Jennat was second. She was taught on how to improve her posture and she did well..

Jennat

Next was Gavin.. He has been wake boarding straight for 3 days! Went and fell.. Did well too..

Gavin

But of course, the grand finale.. The PROs! What can i say? They're so good that when they board, it seems so easy..

Anyway, me took some pictures and video clips. Will try to upload them at the soonest possible time.

One more thing, Me and Joel are going to TIOMAN with Serene and Marcus this Friday!! Can't wait... Snorkelling again! Woaaaahhhhhhh! :D
