Something is bothering me

deep inside since this morning. Till now i still can't find peace within..

John 14:27
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Asean Cup

Went National Stadium to catch the 1st leg of the Asean Cup Finals between SIN-THA last night. We wanted to give our ferocious Lions some support and at the same time visit the stadium for the very last time before they're torn down for a new one..

The crowd mingling in front of the entry point. There were those with tickets and those who were hoping for a last chance to buy tickets.

After clearing the entry point.. I loooove our National Stadium! Look at their structure.. So old school!

Love the stadium. Love the lights. Love the cement feel..

Queuing up for entry into the stadium.

Holding area for toilets, smoke zone, snacks and gantry gates to seatings.

When we were there, we saw alot of red.. Red tops. We were supposed to wear blue to support Lions and thais will wear red. In the end? Lions supporters were all wearing red and thais in yellow. Joel and Gavin were in blue and me in yellow. You should see my face when i saw the small group of thai supporters wearing yellow in a sea of red.

The atmosphere inside was overwhleming!! Like i said (many times last night to Joel and Gavin), it had been so long since National Stadium had such fabulous atmosphere other than National Day.

After a while, we quickly found some seats in front and settled down for the game.

This is where we were seated, facing the goal post.

The reds..

Me and Joel grabbing every opportunity to capture National Stadium last moments.

Throughout the game, the crowd will cheer for the Lions and sneer at the opponents. Like this boy sitting near us... He was the 'joker'. Things he said might not be funny to him but to us, we was hilarious!

That's him! The one in white standing up with a pair of binoculars in his hands.

17 mins into the game, SIN scored its 1st goal!

The stadium was rocking with joy!

Half time, time for a break..

About 50 mins into the game, thai scored.. For a moment, you can see the reds stunned and quiet. As for thais, they were of course jumping and screaming with joy..

About 80 mins into the game, Noh Alam Shah was pulled down in the penalty box and was awarded a penalty. We were all jumping for joy knowing that this goal will make us and not break us. The next thing we knew, the thai players were not going to continue the game!! The whole stadium watched the 11 thai players walked to their manager.

The thai decision to walk out of the game..

Thanks to a guru amongst us, we then know what exactly happened..

Referee award Lions a penalty, Thai feels its no penalty. Thai protest, Thai Manager asked the players off the field.. For the rest, i guess you can figure out yourself, right? We're all smart people. :D

Angry crowds..

After much delays and many persuasion, thai players stepped back into the fields. The game was resumed with the awarded penalty.

Lions scored!!

Crowd jumping for joy after a penalty taken by Farhudin (who looked very angmoh. Mayb he is).

With the final whistle, Lions ended the night with a win for the 1st leg of the finals.

Game ended with contraversy.

2nd leg of the finals will be held in BKK this sunday..

Let the Lions roarrrrrr again!!
