A 'silent' invasion...
Carl's Junior at Marina Square.
I thought to myself; another fast food chain, so.. What's so special about this Carl's Junior? Saw their ad online where Paris Hilton wore a skimpy swimwear seducing herself over a burger whilst cleaning her car. Huh?! What has washing a car gotta do with burgers? It makes no sense.. Seductive? Yes! Very! But.. Famished for a Burger-endorsed-by-Paris-Hilton-whose-seductive-ad-makes-me-more-tempted-to-buy-her-sex-tape? Thanks, but no thanks!
I'm not prejudice against Paris Hilton. In fact, i admired her guts-in-everything-she-do-without-heisitation and envy her socialite lifestyle. It's just that i don't know what Carl's Junior ad trying to protray, makes no sense to me.
Anyway, Me and Joel gave Carl's Junior a try yesterday.... While part-timing at COMEX, i've seen alot of people queuing for the burgers day in and out, whether is it lunch or dinner. GOTTA GIVE IT A TRY.. If it's not nice, then it will be the last time to frequent them.
Surprisingly, me and Joel enjoyed Carl's Junior very much!
Here's why:
1) Queue was fast!! There was a long queue, but it moved quite fast because.. You will be given a queue no and food will be served to your table. You will also be given a cup which you help yourself to the drinks, refillable.
2) Servings are HUGE!! A burger combo is actually good enough for 2. We ordered a Best Western Double Burger (bacon, beef patties and onion rings) meal upsize to large drink and fries, a Carl's Fish Burger and a Beef Chilli Chessy Fries.
Look! Their large fries is huge! And their burgers.. Their burgers are as big as my hand, not palm! When we left, we only managed to down the Beef Chilli Cheesy Fries and my fish burger.. The large fries and the Best Western Double had to be brought back to office! And their food ain't cheap.. We spent almost $20 there. But giving consideration to the huge servings served, it's all worth it!
3) Food was Greeeaat!! Best fish burger i've eaten. Must try! It's better than Fillet-O-Fish. Best tender beef patties i've eaten. They cooked the patties to medium rare and when you take a mouth, you can taste the juicy-ness of the patties! And the Beef Chilli Fries? Best! It's like Orange Julius Coney dogs eaten with fries instead.. *sluuuurrrrp*
A must try sinful indulgence!!! :p
Went shopping for fragances after work yesterday. Last day of fragrances sale at Isetan. Need to replenish due my mom has been helping herself with my fragances collection recently for the past few months. *soooobbb*
Me spent a total of $270 yesterday on discounted fragances! Lucky i have the Isetan card, credit term, payment by next month.. Whewww! And best of all, my mom offer to pay for some too! (",)
