Zuji Globetrotter's Race

Oh boy, i had so much fun.. It's not the real Amazing Race but it's good enough.. Enough to quench my desire.. It's not easy, it's tiring when there's alot of running! I think i ran more during the race than when i jogged during the week.

We had to dress up according to our team (which was assigned weeks ago) colour. There were Japan in white, China in red, Spain in yellow, Italy in green and Australia in blue. The amount each team spent to win the Best Dressed Team was madness.. We, Team Australia? Spent only $7.. hehe

Team Japan. They had 2 of their members wearing kimono and the 2 members were expecting a leisure time since they were in kimono.. And, they were wrong! They had to run with the team.. I gotta admit, they had the best cheer moves. Bring it on!

Team China. Their cheer? Was in mandarin! So appropriate. Other than that, i don't remember much because they weren't outstanding.. Sorry guys..

Team Spain. When Junaidiho Carlos (Flag Bearer) is the team leader and when it is a soccer country, you will have to back off. No one can beat his dress up.. From Junaidiho's words, they spent $80 on every prop they used! The yellow t-shirts, the band-aids, the glitter cloth and the many prints of Spain on their t-shirts. Well deserved Best Dressed Winners indeed! But a bit crazy to spend that much for a Race..

Team Italy. I like their dressed up. The details they put into it was marvellous! Their chef hats with Ratatouille character, their 'Good Morning' towels, moustaches for everyone and kitchenwares!

Team Australia. This is my team. We didn't want to spend so we tried to dress up as much as we can. The Australia flags, the cowboy hat with corks, the boomerangs, the sheeps and the body paintings! We had G'day Mate, Crikey, Aussie Rulez. Best of all, i had WHERE THE BLOODY H**L R U? on my arms.. :)

Race was in Vivocity. When we reached there, reality struck us. It's a Friday and Vivo was already crowded. Gosh.. Passerbys stopped to see what we were up to. It was embarrassing as we had attracted quite a crowd.

After briefing by the emcee, all 5 teams immediately sprung into action. There were 5 stations which we have to complete and rewards to complete for bonus points. Race starts at 4pm and to complete at 5.30pm. Great huh!?

When we had our 1st clue,we were dumbfounded. Yes, that includes my CEO.. No one's perfect. -.-

1st station: The world will be dull if every human being agrees to do without it.
Answer: Money. (HSBC)

2nd station: Minister Mentor Lee
Answer: Harry was MM Lee's name. (Harry @ HarbourFont)

3rd station: I didn't get this. I was busy looking out for our bonus.
Answer: (E-zone at Vivo)

4th: Funky Chunky Monkey
Answer: Duh.. Who havn't heard of it, it's a flavour. (Ben and Jerry's at Vivo)

5th: Sun and Moon out to play (Something like that)
Answer: I don't get this.. But we had the correct guess. (Sunglasses Hut at Vivo)

Anyway, there were many supportive Singaporean out there who helped us complete our tasks. Most of them were shy but when we explained our intentions and that none of the pictures we took will be exposed and will be deleted after the race, they gave us their consent and full support. There were some airheads but most of them were fine. Imagine them being shy, can you imagine us being thick skinned? Yes, my CEO was thick skinned too. :)

We didn't win the Best Dressed Team, we weren't the winners (we came in 3rd out of 5) but we had alot of fun with our CEO who was very sponstaneous! Go Scott!

Word of advice; If you're ever in such a race, always approach the youngsters. They're more sporting.. :)
